Paper Quilling- Saturday, November 7, 10-12 and Saturday, December 5, 10-12
Use narrow strips of paper to twist, coil, roll, and glue quilled shapes to create a radial snowflake design.
Observational Drawing for EVERYONE - Saturday, January 2, 10-12
Drawing is a learned skill. We build skills through practice and develop concrete tools to observe our world. In this class, we'll use everyday objects as our creative inspiration and teach our eyes and hands to work in tandem.
Paper Marbling - Saturday, February 6, 10-12
Use ink and water to create a series of decorative papers for use in future collages, bookbinding projects, or cards. This ancient Japanese technique, called Suminagashi, creates soft, organic patterns on paper. The process is calm, meditative, and easy to learn. While we're waiting for our gorgeous papers to dry, we'll test out some simple bookbinding techniques and talk about creative ways to use our decorated papers.
All ages welcome.
